Vic Cathedral

Vic preserves an important monumental and historical ensemble that reaches from Roman times to the present day. The oldest monument is the Roman temple but, undoubtedly, the most outstanding is its Cathedral.

Consecrated to Saint Peter, it was the center around which the urban center developed at the end of the IX century, Vicus Ausonae, from which the name Vic comes from. Also of note in Vic is the La Atlàntida theater/performing arts center with an extensive cultural program.

Atlantis - Vic

Atlantida is a cultural complex that integrates two municipal services, a music school and conservatory (EMVIC) and a performing arts center (CAE). La Atlántida is, therefore, a municipal facility that provides interactive services for training, exhibition and support for creation and production in the field of music and the performing arts.

Lathe Museum - Torelló

In Sant Pere de Torelló and throughout the Ges Valley the woodturning industry has been, and still is, an economic activity of great importance. The manufacture of spinning tops, skittles and other toys, bars or knobs and other pieces for furniture have brought wealth to the area, making the noble boxwood very often useful.

In this small new museum you will find manufactured parts, machinery and stories of this local history plane. And take the opportunity to stroll through the historic center of this industrial village of the Alt Ter.

Castles

We point out the remains of numerous castles in ruins such as: Castell de los Torelló, distance: 7.6 km (San Vicenç T.) Castell de Vilar or la Viñeta, distance: 8.6 km (Sant Pere de Torelló) Castell de Orís, distance: 13.1 km Castell de Besora, distance: 23.3 km, on Santa Maria de Besora. The Castell de Montequiu, (distance: 21.1 km) has been restored and there are dramatized visits and various activities.

Iberian Village of La Esquerda - Les Masies de Roda

An Iberian settlement of the Ausetani tribe occupied this site due to its excellent strategic characteristics of defense and control of the territory. The chronological amplitude gives great importance to the site, together with its extension of 12 hectares and the good preservation of its constructions, which document the urban evolution in the different periods. In 2006 it was declared a Cultural Asset of National Interest by the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Monastery

One of the most important monuments of the Catalan Romanesque, the only one of the Benedictine order in Osona. Located on a peninsula surrounded by the Ter river.
