Sanctuary of Bellmunt - Sant Pere de Torelló

The Santuari de Bellmunt is located at an altitude of 1,246 meters. It offers one of the most extensive panoramic views of the Osona region and southern Ripollès. On clear days you can even see the mountains of Montserrat, the Pyrenees and the summit of Pedraforca. In Bellmunt there is a restaurant and an inn. It is accessed from San Pere by road, about 200 meters from the monastery.

Riera and Targarona Bridges

Both bridges were part of the bridle paths used by the people of Sant Pere de Torelló to go to other places in the region of Osona, Vidrá or Garrotxa. The bridge of La Riera, in Romanesque style, is located within the estate of Mas La Riera. The Targarona bridge has three semicircular arches and the bases of the bridge are made of worked stone, while the rest is built with stones from the river itself. It is located on the road to Sant Pere in Mas Vinyoles and was recently restored.

Zone of the river - Sant Pere de Torelló

On the Riera estate, owned by the Sant Pere de Torelló Town Council and declared of public utility, there is a signposted itinerary. This itinerary will allow you to get to know its most characteristic elements, such as the Font de la Figuera, the Font de la Riera or the Romanesque bridge. The area has a picnic area, as well as a camping ground known as El Serrat (the use of which requires a municipal permit). In summer some pools in the Ges river are also pleasant for a dip.

Salt del Molí - Vidrà

This waterfall is located at the headwaters of the Ges River and is about 15m long. height. The route to the Salt del Molí starts in front of the Vidrà sports center, and follows a well marked path to the spectacular waterfall. An ideal excursion to do with family or friends, suitable for everyone. Note of interest: Near the pavilion there is a great picnic area and a children’s playground.

Roca Foradada - Cantonigròs

A magical place with a 20 meter high waterfall that falls into a beautiful pool surrounded by an amphitheater of rock walls, one of them with a large hole that lets you see the forest on the other side. Legend has it that the depths of the Foradada pool are inhabited by “water women”, a kind of very beautiful fairies who appear on the surface on full moon nights to wash their clothes, comb their long hair and enjoy the fresh night air.

Grevolosa Forest - Sant Andreu de la Vola

La Fageda de la Grevolosa, a forest with beech trees over 30 meters high, with some specimens over 200 years old and cataloged by the Generalitat. In this beech forest there is also a great natural diversity of flora and fauna. A place of great beauty and biological interest. It is accessed from the road from Sant Pere to the Coll de Bracons, past La Vola (on the right hand side).

La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park - Olot

The Garrotxa Volcanic Zone is the best example of volcanic landscape of the Iberian Peninsula. It has about forty volcanic cones and more than 20 lava flows. Its orography, soil and climate give it a varied vegetation, often exuberant, with holm oak, oak and beech forests of exceptional scenic value. Undoubtedly the best known is the “Fageda d’en Jordà”. In the capital of the Garrotxa, Olot, the “volcanic cuisine” has become popular in recent years.

Sau Reservoir - Vilanova de Sau

Reservoir that stores and channels water from the Ter river and is located within the Natural Area of the Guilleries- *Savassona. It is an excellent place for hiking, flora and fauna observation and for the practice of nautical sports. One of the best-known images of the reservoir occurs when the water level drops and the bell tower of Sant Romà de Sau appears. We highlight the visit to the Monastery of Sant Pere de Casserres.

Sanctuary of Cabrera - L'Esquirol

The Santuari de Cabrera is located in Collsacabra, very close to Cantonigrós. It is located in a watchtower at an altitude of 1,300 meters, with spectacular views of the Vic plain. There are many routes to climb to the Santuari de Cabrera, from Cantonigrós it is a 12 km route. Before arriving at the sanctuary there is a restaurant where you can eat, we advise you to call to reserve a table.

Gorg El Molí dels Murris - Les Planes d'Hostoles

The beautiful gorg del Molí dels Murris is located in the town of Les Planes d’Hostoles in the Garrotxa region.

The excursion is ideal to go with children, because it is short and has little slope. In addition, if you go in summer, you can swim in its waters.

Viewpoint Morro de l'abella - Tavertet

This impressive viewpoint, which offers fantastic views of the Sau reservoir, is located in the town of Tavertet, in the Osona region. The tour can be done in 15 minutes from the parking lot.

Note: You have to pay a ticket of 2€ per person to do the route, the money is destined to the maintenance of the area.

A few kilometers away are two charming villages worth visiting, Tavertet and Rupit.

Arboretum Mas Joan - Espinelves

In the picturesque village of Espinelves, known for the Fira del Avet, is the “Arboretum Mas Joan”, an estate where we can find the largest concentration of monumental trees in Catalonia. A place with a lot of history, where we will see species from all over the world such as sequoias, cedars, etc. Many of them are more than 100 years old.

The Camí Oliba

El Camí Oliba” is a route of Romanesque art that links the regions of Bages, Moianès, Osona and Ripollès using the Bishop and Abbot Oliba as a common thread. It can be done on foot, by bicycle or by car.
